Autotrader eh?  It couldn't possibly be because tesla doesn't spend any money on advertising could it? /s

At least we know to take rankings from autotrader with a huge bag of salt now since they made it abundantly clear that they recommend companies based on advertising spend, not actual customer interest or vehicle quality/price/performance etc.

Sad really to watch when jealousy rears its ugly head

What are you talking about? Tesla quality is among the highest, especially when compared to ICE.
Sorry, not talking about initial quality, but ya know, the one that actually matters to people who buy a car. Lol

The fact that it didn't even make the top 10 is suspect, especially since their parent company is cox who sells services to franchised dealerships

Disconnect from what experts choose as the top vehicles, versus what actual buyers are choosing. A neighbor just purchased a Model Y and loves it. It wasn't the first choice however. The Kia EV6 he ordered came with a surprise Market Adjustment of an extra $7000, and he was required to install expensive dealer options to acquire the vehicle. He declined and went over to Tesla. No surprises when it came to price. No extra sales pressure. No negotiations. Quite a few buyers are willing to buy a Tesla just to avoid the traditional dealership model.

Despite the Tesla Model Y's recent record-breaking sales, Autotrader seems to have skipped Tesla entirely when it put together its list of top ten EVs for 2023. Instead, the automotive site ranks brands like BMW, Hyundai, and Rivian among the best electric vehicles of the year. In Q1, 2023, Tesla's Model Y sold more than any other vehicle in the US, except for the Ford F-150, which has topped US sales charts for decades.
