Lol, yeah, I was re-checking a couple of times that this is not some 1-2 years old laptop here. I think they meant the world's first 14 inch 120 Hz OLED but then again that's also not true, so... 😁

You are absolutely right $3,800 is CRAZY and this 13gen from intel is a rehash of the 12gen from intel, imagine what the 14gen that they say will arrive in November will be like.
Hopefully they can put a version with AMD ZEN 4 7040 Phoenix and we can see a Real comparison between the two and really see the pros and cons. I read in many professional forums and people are opting for ultrabooks with AMD ZEN 4 and specifically Phoenix that handheld consoles do not stop coming out but very few ultrabooks when it is one of the best processors on the market with RDNA 3 + Artificial intelligence.

Now check this:

Quote from: julia_beautiful on June 02, 2023, 16:56:19We are going to read the news 2 and 3 times because what XMG does is nonsense
90% of users are not gamers but we have to swallow a dGPU yes or yes and of course pay about $300 more for it when I don't need it and RDNA 3 + Phoenix Artificial intelligence is enough for me.
But let's try to understand XMG if you don't put a dGPU you save a lot of useless expenses requesting it from Nvivia and then assembling you are asking 2 different suppliers for parts while if you only use the Phoenix APU you have only one supplier and you will manufacture faster and you will sell much more and with more reason when 90% of the population does not need dGPU. And more when you see millions of laptops with Intel + Xe APU with which you can't play AAA games
A nonsense of XMG

Quote from: usacomputer on April 22, 2023, 11:32:10They never said that they will offer Zen 4 without a dedicated GPU, of course for Gamers it sure comes with dedicated graphics and 32GB of RAM, that's simple; but for the majority of 90% of the population 16GB of DDR5 RAM running at 6000Nhz is more than enough together with RDNA 3 + Artificial intelligence that they say will be superior to the Apple M2 you are very much in excess and if the ultrabook weighs less than 2lb and at such a good price , I do not need more. I don't need 3K on a 14"-16" computer on a 42" TV yeah what a stupidity what we all want is cheap Ultrabooks, less than 2.2lb to be able to Play AAA games and Video Rendering applications. 3D, CAD and stuff AMD ZEN 4 7040 offers it to me. The most interesting thing is the Artificial intelligence that will be very useful with the future Windows 12, Office, and Direct XII that will come with a lot of artificial intelligence compared to AMD 4nm vs intel 10nm that heats up and consumes more energy shortening the life of the processor.

You're right.
Very strange that 13 "and 14" ultrabooks do not come out with only AMD ZEN 4 7040 Phoenix built by TSMC at 4nm vs intel 10nm
I read in many forums that people do not need dGPU with RNDA 3 is more than enough and manufacturers would save a lot of money and time. Gamers already have their dGPUs from AMD and Nvidia, and many gamer consoles use the AMD Phoenix chip for its power, which should be incorporated into ultrabooks and is what 90% of the users I read demand.

...plus about 100 identical messages around. AMD's shillbots + ChatGPT are working hard. Weird PR is weird.

Wait a second, I just found one for $1999 in the US. It can't be almost double the price in Europe.

Pricing is a sick joke, the 4070 is just a 4060 in disguise, and is slower than the 3070 Ti last year.

Asus set the price to $1500 and then we can talk.

I also love the "SDR brightness of around 360 Hz" - super fast brightness :)

Come on notebookcheck, you can do better!

$3800US for a 14" laptop is a sick and perverted joke. They wonder why the market has tanked.

In the Zenbook Pro 14, Asus presents a powerful multimedia laptop that combines Intel's latest Raptor-Lake CPUs with fast RTX GPUs from Nvidia. It also boasts the first 120 Hz OLED display, which does not completely live up to expectations.
