All the flaws of the series at a glance for the expert:
1. As always, a completely broken keyboard due to the right arrow in place of insert, i.e. a broken numpad, which immediately eliminates Acer from the list of likely options for a versatile laptop for home or office. Marketers Acer, with the persistence of morons, step on the same de rake in all series from year to year.
2. 2000 euros (but here on NB reviews they always indicate not real retail prices, so it's difficult to evaluate) for processor performance almost 2 years ago, it's of little interest. There should be 7940HS here, as in Asus TUF A15 with the same 4070, priced at 1600 euros.
3. The real effective bandwidth of ddr5 4800 is a whole (monstrous!) -35% less theoretically possible at 76Gb / s (4800 x 128 / 8).
4. Again, the review does not say anything about manual control of coolers, although a lot of reviewers pay attention to this and this is an exclusively key feature of modern laptops.
5. The critical temperature of the screen panel is only 50C - you cannot use this laptop under load in the closed state if you do not want to get a screen failure ahead of time.
6. Built-in speakers are disgusting, but this is not critical.
7. Consumption at rest is too high.

Well, the main disadvantage, which kills the whole point of buying it - 4070 simply does not pull out 60fps in most new games, even in High quality, not to mention the desired Ultra level in the native 2.5k screen resolution. Again, this leads to my old and constant remark about the stupidity of manufacturers with these stupid 2.5k screens - they are not suitable for work or play. Only 4k@120Hz panels need to be installed (with the transition to eDP2.0+ 144-165Hz). They are ideal for both 4k and fhd games (which 4k panels easily switch to with perfect pixel clarity), when the mobile video chip simply does not pull out the minimum playable 60fps in new releases.

Now let's move on to some of the benefits.
1. The screen is quite good in terms of contrast (according to local measurements) and response time, although it is definitely not a "165Hz" panel - more like 100Hz. But the color reproduction for 2000 euros could be with DCI-P3 100%.
2. The noise is quite moderate in medium load, but at the cost of a huge weight already close to the unsurpassed so far Dell G5 5587 2018, which is generally not surprising given the outdated processor, which is in any case colder than Intel versions.
3. Unlike a number of greedy other manufacturers, Acer still soldered the USB40 controller, which is not in the Zen3+ SoC. Although given the price, this was expected and not surprising, it would rather be struck by its absence at this price.

With this weight, it doesn't care about the dimensions of the laptop. Therefore, the question to Acer is - why the hell do people need idiotic 16 "with such a weight? Put an 18" panel 4k@120Hz, increase the volume of the case, a normal keyboard at least at the Legion level (but still make it even better - Esc, F1..F12 should be full height, same as full width numpad keys)

Again, once again, I see a complete misunderstanding of the target audience by Acer marketers. As well as the same thing happens with other Chinese manufacturers - Lenovo, Asus, MSI, Gigabyte.

It is necessary to clearly separate the mobile platform for wear and home universal laptop, where weight and dimensions are of little importance, but the quality and size of the screen, a full-fledged keyboard with a numpad and, of course, silence in operation with a core load of at least 30-40% on average are critical . From the maximum ports and their capabilities, as well as the convenient use of a laptop reclining on a sofa / bed, i.e. laptop power should be organized either at the back (or from the edge to the back with a round corner) or in the case of usb-c power - 2 ports - left and right or behind, so that it is convenient for both right-handed and left-handed people.

The criteria for a popular, mass universal laptop have long been calculated, but manufacturers are stubbornly doing some kind of mess ....

I hope Acer will finally come to its senses and start installing normal keyboards with a full numpad, shifting the arrows down like in Legion keyboards from Lenovo. And will take into account all these comments.

Thank you for your attention.
