The point is that stores are doing aggressive promotions to clear inventory of older GPUs that end up being more attractive for being exceptionally below the MSRP, temporarily.
You've failed to notice one important fact:
1. The 7600 is using the full N33 die. There will be no XT variant, so this needs to be compared to the 6650XT not 6600
2. Against the 6650XT the improvements are on order of 5% except with RT where larger gains are made.
3. The 6600 used a cut down version of N23 and was a weak card, so 20% gains over that for the full N33 die are simply pathetic. Also the 7600 uses 50% more power than the 4060 Ti. The only way the 7600 would be impressive if say it only needed 100W, not 175W.
IMO the 7600 is nothing more than a 7500XT and if it were $229 it would be decent value. As is it's garbage just like the overpriced 4060 Ti and no doubt the even worse 4060. Even the 4060 Ti is in reality a 4050 Ti.
This generation of GPU releases have been miserably bad be it price, performance or both.
