Today, all laptops and desktops without 16GB VRAM can clearly be considered non-gaming. The minimum requirements for VRAM for today in new releases are 12-13GB.

So the 4070 is no longer a gaming chip with its miserable 8GB. And in terms of speed, it's no good for a 2.5k screen, 60fps in most even last year's releases, it no longer pulls out.

At the same time, the price is close to the Legion 7 2022 at 6800+6700M (10GB VRAM) in the autumn 2022 sales, which is much better as a laptop. It, like the L5Pro 2022, at least has the ability to connect an external eGPU of the 4090 level, and not use slow mobile chips with a lack of VRAM.

If we consider the L5 "Pro" (because it no longer even has a metal case, no TB4/USB40 and this is only part of the problems) 2023 as a working laptop - again, without an external eGPU, this can be problematic. And the price is too high relative to the 2022 models on sale.

At this price, there should already be 64GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD from the factory.

Good laptop with a good quality/price balance.
We all hope that more same or similar laptops will come out and many 2.2lb ultrabooks, which is what the public wants at a fair price with AMD Zen 4 Phoenix

RTX 4000-powered gaming laptops are gradually receiving bigger and bigger discounts, which has now resulted in a decent deal for the current Lenovo Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 that sports a quick AMD processor and Nvidia's RTX 4070 dGPU.
