The narrative is completely invented and the logic behind the narrative is amusing.

Well that's not good to be honest! They need to bring back the Nexus which was in my eyes a much better device for development and progression!
IMX787 looks like it could be quite good but may lack with night shots!
I don't really understand why it has a wide angle camera on the A series it's a bit of a waste of time as Mobile Camera sensors are way to wide angle as it is and distort the image. Front facing makes men look gaunt and women skinny in the face.
They would be better removing the wide angle camera and putting the money in one single Camera and work on improving the lens to be honest! It would be much cheaper and more advance if you could manually slide different Len's over the sensor and use software to build the best image.

That really sucks, my wife's last 2 phones have been A series Pixels, the 4a and 6a. She loves them. My guess isn't that those phones aren't successful, but that they are TOO successful. Google probably feels like a lot of people want a decent phone with great updates and software support, and the $300-450 option fits the bill just as good for the vast majority of people. Thus their $800-1000 options don't fly off the shelves like they would want to see. If they kill it off, that's why.

It has slower charging speeds especially for wireless charging The camera hardware on 7a is not as good as the 7. The build quality will be substantially lower given that it's made out of plastic instead of glass and aluminum. The display panel might a lower quality OLED too.

According to a new report, Google may end the Pixel A-Series on a high with the Pixel 7a. Instead, Google could pivot to just selling flagship smartphones, with regular, Pro and foldable offerings going forwards.
