Well, it's not obvious this is a thing and even if it is its not obvious that it will be a mobile SoC. If it is, those detuned X5 cores, which won't be in products before 2025, will have to be incredibly efficient.

If there is any truth to this Google will likely want to license this design, which presumably includes a Samsung modem, and introduce further custom mods.

Samsung has a long and notable record of failure with processors. The Exynos name is synonymous with slow, budget phones. With Mediatek targeting entry level phones is there any profit to be had by manufacturing weak processors?

Hope to see in next tablet or Galaxy line Samsung product (hoping that it's Mongoose processor, that it bodes well) also because for this arch will consume at least 10W and even in 12-28W can be a good choice for Galaxy notebook or for next AIO .

A new leak says the Exynos 2500/Dream Team chip will feature a 10-core CPU with 4 Cortex-X5, 2 Cortex-A730 and 4 Cortex-A520 cores in a 1+3+2+4 configuration.
