Perhaps E-M1 mk II should have been mentioned too. Highly capable allrounder.

GX7 mk II in Japan (GX7 is the older model).

The g9 is amazing!

I also agree with the R50 over M50. I find it hard to recommend Canon-M, when there already were rumors about phasing it out. R Mount has a path to full frame and better glass.

Older A7 is also pretty good cost for full frame. $300-400 gets an e-m10ii. Probably best too think about cost levels here too.

As a photography beginner, you might immediately look to buy an entry-level DSLR or mirrorless camera, while the correct move may actually be buying a used or open-box high-end or mid-ranger from a few years ago instead. From full-frame to Micro Four Thirds and beyond, there is plenty of excellent camera gear that can be had for a good deal if you look.
