Tesla havent fixed anything, TESLA VISION does not work - having wipers run pretty much constantly on Autopilot with no way to switch them off is "Absurd" - Tesla should start using Absurd mode.

Now got a long scratch on windsheild because of this

BS Tesla hasnt fixed anything. There is no rainsensor in our Teslas and therefor they rely on the cameras. It didnt work when the 3 was introduced 6 years ago and the automation is still failing miserable today, now just forced use because of the Vision-virus where Tesla downgraded my car my removing the input from the radar i paid for. Fool me twice, shame on you...

But fixed, not at all.

There has always been a physical button for the wipers. It's on the left stalk. (Long press to squirt cleaning fluid, for those bugs that you are so anxious about). A wiper menu would automatically pop up after doing a wipe.

The new feature just ties the scroll wheel to that temporary menu.

Does this also remove the requirement that wipers be on auto when in autopilot? Because before this update, you could still control wiper speed by single pressing the wiper button and selecting wiper speed , including off.

What is annoying people is not the auto wipers (which SUCK),it's the fact you can't turn them off because Tesla thinks the autopilot cameras are gunked up and wipers should run fill blast, smearing things and make it even worse

Seriously, how did this get past testing , anyway?

Tesla has fixed one of the most annoying issues about its bestselling Model Y and Model 3 EVs - the erratic windshield wiper behavior in automatic mode - by introducing good ol' physical wiper control. Its new software update finally lets drivers use button and scroll wheel to control the Model 3 and Model Y wiper speed.
