Here in the U.S. we can't buy the 4K screen unfortunately!  We are stuck with a 2K IPS screen.  Ugh.

The price of a laptop is determined by demand, and demand is formed either on the basis of the model's payback in business (how fast) or the level of ergonomic comfort and some personal aesthetic pleasure from owning it in the case of top models. Accordingly, models located between these two key poles sell the worst if marketing does not work.

Once again manufacturers fail to understand the users. No artist buys a 4080 to be restricted to 105w and take 20 sec rendering Blender Classroom scene instead of 15 sec of a Razer(listed in comparisons)  or equivalent.
This has even more effect in heavier jobs or graphics engines like Unreal Engine.
It is also overpriced for what it offers.

Plus the complete inflexibility concerning CPU choice a 13700 would be good for many instead of too costly 13900.
While it is commendable that MSI found a way for the noise to not be extreme in light use, it is still no silent and  the obsession with "slim" for chassis that will never be small no matter what do not make sense. Air does not weight and an higher case would have be much preferably for cooling.

I bet that the Nvidia Discrimination against laptops with subpar VRAM levels RTX4070 Laptop of only 8Gb and those of RTX4080 forced to have an overpriced, overpowered Intel will make a big dent in those that might have upgraded in this cycle.

Really appreciate the in-depth reviews you guys do. Even go as far as checking the PWM. Number 1 laptop review source for me.

Keep up the great work.

This "premium" laptop is so flawed it's better allocated to the budget category. And the price says EUR5000 at the beginning to which I can only say go eat sh*t, but it says about half that at the end, with nearly the same specs. Still being so flawed I wouldn't call it a bargain. Some barebones is probably better.
The 2.4Hz PWM is very funny, the author should go write comedy.

Let's start with the cons of the MSI Stealth 17 Studio series (i.e. a series for creators, not players!):

Key EPIC FAIL, according to NB review:
1. Extremely poor color accuracy screen - dE>2.5! But I draw your attention to the fact that the author pointed to the same number BEFORE calibration. Consequently, the author did not conduct real measurements and did not perform his work in good faith under the contract with NB.
2. The flicker test is a clear crap. The author must apologize and either we, the readers, ignore this part, which means that part of the author's work is not done in good faith in terms of screen measurements.
3. Weak performance of the i9 13900, it is about 30% worse than the norm.
4. The memory speed is about 10% worse than the norm for ddr5 5600.
5. Again completely spoiled numpad on the layout, which excludes easy switching and fast blind work with the keyboard after the normal desktop one. MSI fire those who make such variants from series to series - you are hurting yourself in mass sales, especially series for work, not games! Make at least a keyboard like in Lenovo Legion!
6. Once again, I draw the attention of the authors of the reviews to the technically incorrect information about HDMI 2.1 (8K/60 Hz) support. This is physically impossible without lossy compression (analogue of mp3 vs flac for example) DSC. And only with such compression even full HDMI 2.1 (48Gbps) is able to transmit the most primitive version of 8k@60Hz - only with 24-bit color. Only the full version of DP2.0+ (80Gbps) is capable of transmitting lossless signal 8k@60Hz 24-36 bit in 4:4:4.

On the positive side, according to the review - only a reduced noise level, which is very good for a working environment.

In general, without a normal conscientious review (primarily on the key point - the quality of the screen), it is impossible to make a conclusion about the possibility of a purchase for a meticulous buyer.

If the price is close to the one stated in the review, it is better to look for other models. The price does not match what a person expects for 5000 euros. This model should have an AMD 7945HX (although we will immediately lose up to 1.5 times in terms of the speed of the RAM, which will negatively affect the work in the same Photoshop), but in general performance the gain will still be more than 1.5 times. Depends on the range of "creative" tasks of course.

The translation for this article is far below the usual standard.

Not only is it sloppy (The title of the Verdict is German even in the English version), there are also instances where the English text means something completely different from the German text.

In the section about noise emissions:
German: "Die gemessenen 36 dB werden von manchem Office-Notebook übertroffen."
English: "The measured 36 dB are bettered by some office laptops."

The correct translation would have been "exceeded". "Bettered" is extremely misleading in this context.

The Stealth 17 is reluctant to ascend to the fps throne. It prefers to offer fast video editing, relaxing gaming sessions and brilliant images and tries to find the middle ground between a laptop for creators and gamers. The RTX 4080, an Intel Core i9-13900H as well as a 4K mini-LED display provide an excellent basis for this - if only it weren't for some minor flaws.
