The move to A510 have huge efficiency gains because 32 bit hardware is dropped. But the efficiency debuff from Samsung foundry negates the effect. If this chip is made by TSMC then it will be even more efficient.

I think the OEMs already know this and shuns the 7 gen 1 just like they did the 780G. They do not want to provide a bad user experience. All the business is given to MediaTek 8100 despite it is on the older generation of cores. The 7 gen 1 will be a generation to be forgotten.

Now Qualcomm wants to woo back OEMs with 7+ gen 2 and TSMC. Let's see if they are successful.
