This is a Samsung Display issue, not a Lenovo issue. HP and Asus OLED laptops have the same problem.

Zanny you should make an official complain to your consumer and protection regulator, to the store and to Lenovo.

If ruined Lenovo as a brand for me, as I couldn't return without big restocking fee.  Luckily my brother needed a laptop sametime and it doesn't bother him as he isn't so techie.

Still rocking the old style OLED first gen from 2017 on my X1 Yoga Gen 2.

Can't believe it's still used on 2023 flagship. Where is the backlash?

Quote from: informatic on March 30, 2023, 10:23:03Hopefully Lenovo does the same as Asus and HP betting on what everyone expects the new AMD ZEN 4 7040 Phoenix = LPDDR5 + RDNA 3 + USB 4.0 + HDMI 2.1 + artificial intelligence and take advantage of ChatGPT and what Microsoft is preparing with Windows 12 with a lot of AI artificial intelligence and the New OFFICE 2024. AMD, the first to put a chip with Artificial Intelligence in its laptops, has surpassed Intel with its XDNA architecture developed by Xilinx, one of the leading companies in AI Artificial intelligence and all at 4nm vs. 10nm from Intel.
It is no longer necessary to have an RTX graphics card to play TRIPLE AAA games, with this APU and RNDA 3 + FSR 3.0 will enable a smoother overall gaming experience, and simultaneously this allows developers to focus more GPU time on visual quality. Latency reduction is a key focus area for FSR 3.0 - AMD has the gamer in mind, with high frame rates and the lowest achievable latency as basic requirements. The engineers are also aiming for a smooth upgrade path from titles that currently utilize version 2.0 of FSR. FPs 60 -->120FPS

Who is everyone? I prefer DDR5 over LPDDR5 for upgradability, and not dumping an entire laptop if a memory module fails.

If what you say is true, simply the chip the latest AMD Zen 4 7040 processor is compatible with both memories for the purpose of its use in consoles such as Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck for me one of the best AYANEO II, RAZER EDGE,
In light laptops DDR5 is better and it should be possible as AMD said at 6,000. The important thing is that many OEMs have finally realized that this latest AMD Zen 4 7040 with RNDA 3 and the new + FSR 3.0 will enable a smoother overall gaming experience, and simultaneously this allows developers to focus more GPU time on visual quality. Latency reduction.
And we have not yet seen what the XDNA architecture developed by Xilinx, one of the leading companies in Artificial Intelligence, is capable of, which is said to surpass the Apple M2.
Thanks to AMD we have competition and not the monopoly with abusive prices that Intel maintained for 10 years

I just hope there's going to be a Thinkbook 16 refresh with Ryzen 7000u, last year's AMD G4 was pretty nicely specced.

Also, why are other companies not interested in the LG Gram 17 form factor? Haven't heard of anything like it with AMD inside :(

The Yoga 9i 14 is Lenovo's most expensive consumer convertible and relies exclusively on Intel processors. However, the brand new Raptor Lake Core i7-1360P does not really live up to expectations in our review because it lags behind last year's AMD models, especially in regard to the integrated GPU and efficiency.
