That Dell was being sold by a shady character.  The monitor arrived broken because it had been extrememly poorly re-packaged by somebody. It was cardboard from two boxes taped together.  The case is literally missing parts.  The screen is shattered.  Well, that's what happens when you put the stand right on the screen.  The bottom corner of the case by the power button is ripped outward.  What's really odd is that FedEx says it arrived 12am 3/22/2023 and Dell says it shipped from them to the *vendor* on 3/22/2023.  If it was really new, why didn't it come in the original Dell box and packaging?  Now they (computersales aka A Y C Deals Inc) want me to pay return postage to return it but the box is completely unsuitable for shipping. Of course, the return address given actually goes to either a ListCo Direct warehouse or, for A Y C, a FedEx VS Print & Ship storefront.  I have pictures.
Please vet your reviews and make sure they are not fly-by-night operators.

Although the 100 Hz refresh rate and minimum response time of 4 ms GtG do not make it suitable for the needs of pretentious gamers, the Dell S3422DW is a good choice for many scenarios, including multimedia consumption and office tasks. With a list price of US$479.99, it is now down to US$349.99 on both Amazon and Dell US.
