Quote– poor graphics/gaming performance

While there is not much financial sense to do it here one can still go all out and tremendously improve graphic performance with an eGPU. Per Intel's datasheet Thunderbolt 4 is implemented to the i5 1240P by being built into its main CPU die, basically the same thing as the i7 1260P from this Notebookcheck's article: notebookcheck.net/Intel-s-i7-1260P-mobile-CPU-surprisingly-beats-an-i9-12900HX-in-Thunderbolt-4-tests-conducted-with-external-RTX-4090.665628.0.html

Some serious gaming can be done in that case although, again, it is definitely far better financially to simply build a proper desktop PC.

The Intel NUC 12 Pro Kit is a tiny but powerful mini PC. Its powerful 12th-Gen Alder Lake Core i5-1240P offers great computing power, although graphics performance is lacking. Like it's bigger brother, perhaps its greatest strength is its excellent port selection, which includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports.
