Passmark is the best CPU benchmark second to SPEC. CR23 Plebs like you better accept it and get educated!

There seem to be 2 bots--and I'm not quoting them because--leaving comments under every CPU news piece.

AMD themselves admitted publicly that they deliberately hold back the supply of new series that are in short supply on the market for the sake of inflating prices. And at the same time, they consistently lose market share, giving it back to Intel. What is there to talk about next?

The fact that AMD antitrust pad Intel has long been a proven fact for all experts. Now it has become clear to any man in the street.

Intel, until it goes bankrupt itself, will never let AMD disappear. This is their shadow...

I really hope that the reasonable part of Apple's leadership, if there is one, is smart enough to turn from a closed ecosystem into an open one - becoming publicly available to all manufacturers of advanced Arm processors for laptops and chipsets, and then PCs. And Intel/AMD's punishment for their endless swamp will be bankruptcy. It is inevitable when someone stops being competitive.

It is important that fresh blood come into the industry, and the patent system be flexible enough not to allow the old patent trolls to control the market. All patents of large corporations must expire by rights no later than 10 years.

AMD may have the better product but it means nothing like what NikoB said. Their 6000apu's (especially the U variant) are hard to find in budget, lower and upper mid-range, 2-in-1's laptop segments. Intel already have their 13th gen in a variety of laptops not including gaming ones. Last year's 6000 series no where to be found in popular product lines and even till now can't find as the rehashed 7035 series. I got an 11th gen intel 2in1 laptop just to hold me over but if intel's price is right I may have to go with them permanently.
I have given up on AMD.

Passmark is fine. This is what happens when a power efficient microarchitecture competes against a volt guzzler.

The scores will make sense as more samples come in. 1 lone result shouldn't be treated like gospel.

One finds in every corner that the CPU has security gaps for malware, its AI makes smart phone calls and thus competes with China.

Quote from: Brumski on March 12, 2023, 22:21:10AMD is the best CPU manufacturer!
With a memory controller that from generation to generation loses on average classmates in Intel from 1.4 to 2 times in terms of read/write/copy speed?
This is the "manufacturer" who does not even have his own factories and therefore cannot meet mass demand and who deliberately inflates prices, holding back supplies to a market that is suffocating from shortage of new episodes?

In 2022, AMD began to lose market share back to Intel. Despite the fact that it produces processors according to the best technical process at TSMC.

Yeah...the "best". Was the best ever...

The bet seems interesting but what everyone is waiting for are the AMD ZEN 4 7040 Phoenix laptops = DDR5 + RDNA 3 + USB 4.0 + PCI 4.0 HDMI 2.1 + Artificial Intelligence with XDNA architecture developed by Xilinx to make the most of ChatGPT and all at 4nm vs. Intel's 10nm
The AMD 7040 Phoenix CPUs will surpass the Apple M2 in performance and efficiency, even in artificial intelligence, that is what the portable public expects with ZEN 4 Phoenix. If you want to know more, simply write in your search engine AMD ZEN 4 7040 Phoenix

While CPU is not that important for me, i hope that AMD can continue to be more efficient than Intel and specially also close the deficit in single core.

Eager for the new laptops reviews with Ryzen 9.

The AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX APU has turned up on PassMark and in the process has delivered incredible single-thread and multi-test suite results. The Ryzen 9 7945HX is so powerful that it easily surpasses the mobile CPU competitor Intel Core i9-13980HX and sets its sights on the desktop monster i9-13900KS instead.
