Based upon Geekbench 6 scores, it seems that i7-13800H Raptor Lake with 6P+8E cores is 'only' about 80-85% faster than 4 Core 11th Gen Tiger Lake. Suggests 50% more big cores, 8E cores, and 1 or 2 iterations of 10 nm (Intel 7) yields less than a doubling of performance.

Notebookcheck's own review of the Surface Studio laptop shows 5700 pts in GB 5.X while the average i5-12500H (4P, 8E) notebook from their database scores 10523 in GB 5.X for an 85% improvement. Seems like the other 2P cores and manufacturing improvements aren't adding much of anything.

It's not a "novel hinge", it's a recycled VAIO design!!

Whatever! Windows laptops performance drops so much operating on battery that it makes no sense using them without charger anyway.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio launched with a novel display hinge. While the utility was a gimmick for some, the notebook was an excellent product overall. Per the latest leaked hardware specifications, the successor to the original Surface Laptop Studio will come with the newest Intel CPUs and GeForce GPUs.
