Please notebookcheck, add the Exynos 1330 and 1380 to the CPU list. I want to see how they compete with other chipsets.

Quote from: Abc on February 20, 2023, 22:17:00Samsung quietly put up the spec page for the Exynos 1380. (Or maybe it is a mistake since they are supposed to put up a page for Exynos 1330 for the A14 5G but A54 5G is not yet announced)

Anyway, they upgraded A78 cores from 2 to 4, and the GPU from 4 cluster to 5 cluster. Modem is slightly upgraded in download speed. ISP supports a higher sensor resolution, but video recording is still 4k30, and no AV1 decoding. It also lists UFS 3.1 storage so it is likely a hint the A54 5G will have faster storage. WiFi spec is missing though (it was mentioned for the Exynos 1280).

Anyway, many welcoming upgrades (or arguably this is what the A53 5G should have been a year ago in terms of CPU, GPU, storage. Many competitors or even their own A52s have better specs).

Some disappointments are: G68 technically can support 6 cluster but they are only using 5, and this is the old architecture from a few years ago (the G710 is already out). The A78 is also a few years old now and A710 should really be used on new phones. Recording is still 4k30, while iPhone SE from 2020 has 4K60 recording. Again no AV1 decode.

Ha. I beat Wccftech by 3 days in discovering it.

Samsung has taken the wraps off the mid-range Exynos 1380 and the Exyno 1330 SoCs. Meant to power the company's low-to-mid-end offerings, both Exynos chips are rocking an octa-core big.LITTLE design, ARM Mali G68 GPUs, 5G modems, and support for high refresh rate FHD+ displays.
