No one - NOT ONE - review ever mentions that it's about time for any Razer laptop to have a touch screen. Why? Because all these so called independent reviewers are sponsored by the company.

My friends from Poland say, that Razer machines are of low quality laptops. Usually they brake right before the end of warranty. I would buy this :)

Quote from: Jcksnd on February 12, 2023, 11:40:12I do not really care if a laptop is 30% less powerful than desktop.
This does not justify the rapid obsolescence and wild noise. With such a noise, even if I wanted to play, I definitely would not play. Even on quieter models, but on the desktop I would play, because. it was much quieter and faster with 4090 fps on a 4k monitor.

I do not understand the target audience of such models (except for the categories of workers described above) - why, for what?

Why do you need to drag him around the rooms if you are not poor? Don't have your own room with a spacious desk and a comfortable chair, a large monitor and a powerful, quiet desktop? But then where do you get the money for such a laptop?

Quote from: Jcksnd on February 12, 2023, 11:40:12If for example I go visit my family, or it happens I need a pc outside of my home I can pack it and I have decent machine with me.
Your arguments are not convincing. Well, unless you are a maniac in games ...

Quote from: Jcksnd on February 12, 2023, 11:40:12You seem to be very angry about other people's choices, which do not affect you at all. I think you should think about it and chill.
I'm just wondering what kind of category of ordinary people it is that takes such machines that it is impossible to play with such wild noise for a long time. Who have that kind of money and at the same time are ready to endure such noise and speed limits...

Quote from: NikoB on February 10, 2023, 13:30:26People, why are you torturing yourself with noisy and slow "gaming" laptops, for monstrous money?

Do you live in a booth or in a hostel? But then where do you get the money for "top-end" laptops? And if in your own house or apartment - then what's stopping you from building a desktop that will be 1.5 times faster in 3D for less money and at the same time quieter at times? At the same time, everything will be easy to change there.

I do not understand these moans from people who have enough living space. I understand why such laptops are bought by shift workers and sailors, etc. categories that simply have no choice in life. But ordinary people who work and come home - why such laptops.

Can someone explain why people buy this crap home? What kind of lifestyle do they lead, since they are forced to suffer with a noisy with slow "gaming" laptop in games vs desktop 4090, and not for the sake of earning?

1. You can take your laptop to other room quickly, you can sit on the sofa, or in bed with it.
2.you can take it and plug it to the TV like a console easly.
3. I do not really care if a laptop is 30% less powerful than desktop.
4. If for example I go visit my family, or it happens I need a pc outside of my home I can pack it and I have decent machine with me.
5. I don't care if stationary PC is cheaper. I can pay more for the convinience.

You seem to be very angry about other people's choices, which do not affect you at all. I think you should think about it and chill.

The sound quality of the speakers of this year's Blade 16 has not improved compared to last year's version, and it is disappointing for a laptop of this price. I expected the speakers to be at least as good as 8-speaker versions of the previous year's Blade 17 in regards to the sound quality.

">50 dB(A) when gaming on Performance mode" and "thicker than other Blade models" are contradictory. While I fully agree with the first contra, I feel the second one to be a pro! Razer was shrinking down the Blades from year to year only for the sake of purely stupid marketing reasons. Like mentioned before though, the baseunit is nearly as thin as before. Cooling didn't benefit from the increased zheight which is really a shame. I hope the Blade 18 will be a bit quieter in performance mode. Same power envelope but at least bigger footprint and a third tiny fan. Was hoping they would at least bring back the double fan.

Quote from: Aiman on February 09, 2023, 16:55:29Next time make it 3mm thicker with bigger fans and vapor chamber.

Quote-pricey

That's probably the primary reason I'll be skipping this gen. my 2022 Blade 17 3070 Ti was bought for less than $2500. Definitely not worth the almost double or more price jump, depending on the gpu model. just nvidia overcharging this gen just like their desktop gpus

Highly appreciated that Razer finally made the Blade a bit thicker! Unfortunately most of the increased thickness is due to the thicker display lid. Cooling has not improved at all, hasn't it? I had hoped for quieter fans under load, but you still have to reduce performance to achieve this. Next time make it 3mm thicker with bigger fans and vapor chamber.

Quote from: Mr Majestyk on February 08, 2023, 02:22:19LOL it's a 4070 Ti running in eco mode, but priced like a 4080. 4090 Mobile si also just a 4080 desktop running in eco mode.
All mobile GPUs are 30-40% slower than desktop versions due to the TDP limit. The CPU is also significantly faster on desktops, as have no TDP restrictions, especially when running dGPU. But the asking price is almost the same (as part of the total price of a laptop) - therefore, for games, buying any "gaming" laptop is the wildest nonsense, except for obvious cases such as shift workers, long business trips with changing places and sailors.

If you want maximum bang for your buck, you need to buy a gaming desktop. At the same time, it will be much quieter and much faster for the same money.

And according to data in AIDA64, the memory throughput (read, write, copy) averages about 80GByte/s, which is about 5 times slower than Apple's M2 Max specs for memory controller, but unfortunately I have not seen anywhere to confirm this speed for memory controller in M2 Max on practice in some well-known cross-platform memory tests...

If Apple memory controller with 512 bit bus really has more than 4x faster memory, that's a complete smash of the all x86 camp...

QuoteOur 13th gen Core i9-13950HX is about 30 percent faster than the previous generation champion the Core i9-12900HX.
In fact, this is not so, according to the tests on NB, in this review, see: notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-Legion-7-16IAX7-laptop-review-Fast-16-inch-gamer-with-165-Hz-display.652845.0.html

12900HX reaches 3270-3280 points in the long run, only with PL1 = 136W, and in the MSI Titan there are about the same with PL1 = 125W.

But 13950hx is the same declaration in the review, has PL1 only 109W.

Thus, if their results are related to 1W consumption, it turns out that L7 consumes 25% more energy for ~ 3200 in CBR15, than 13950HX in Razer and MSI Titan C I9 generation consumes 14.6% more than the I9 of the 13th generation .

The total difference, taking into account the difference in consumption not 30%, but more than 71% in the case of L7 and 57% in the case of MSI Titan 2022. But you were mistaken even here, because There it turns out not 30%, but more than 37%+ with top -end solutions of 2022 from Lenovo and MSI.

Go ahead...

QuoteWhen running 3DMark 06 on Balanced mode, for example, fan noise would steadily increase to 39 dB(A) much earlier in the benchmark compared to just 31 dB(A) on the Lenovo Legion S7 16.
But in this review (notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-Legion-7-16IAX7-laptop-review-Fast-16-inch-gamer-with-165-Hz-display.652845.0.html) there is not a word about the noise in 31dB in L7 Slim 2022...

Moreover, comparing L7 Slim on the old i9 and the new Razer, it is clearly visible, according to your noise table, that Razer is much quieter in a low and medium load. Which completely contradicts your conclusions.

Next:
You tell readers that in 4K resolution 4080 issues In GTA V (2015) 143.7FPS, but at the same time indicate that in QHD the same card issues 125.2FPS. This is impossible physically, because 4K more costly resources permission, which is confirmed by tests in other games.

Can you please check, if Razer finally implemented a battery charge limit when on cable.
From screenshots I see that Synapse has a battery tab now, that let me hope.
