Tesla owners report much greater range loss in cold weather, as much as 50%   that is expected from an ultra high nickel content battery.

Why is the long range model 3 (and similarly Y)'s range in 70 degree weather less than than the Bolt's in testing?  Those are supposed to be over 300 miles...

The Tesla Model Y and Model X seem to be the best bet for the least amount of electric vehicle range drop in cold weather, study finds. The Model 3 is not too shabby, either, why for some like the Ford Mustang Mach-E the winter weather battery range drop could reach double what Tesla's electric SUVs manage.
