When will manufacturers start making phones that don't need a case or screen protector? It ruins the whole experience... Why have all these fancy glass backs if it's just slippery and easy to break? I still use a case sometimes, but a screen protector never.

The new Xiaomi 13 series will not be a nightmare to make screen protectors for once the trek back to the Nokia 928,930 and the Nokia N9 series. Those phones had reference screen protectors. As a 22 year Nokia user who just converted to Xiaomi I can safely say they have no problem.Xiaomi has just filled the space that Nokia once held in the imaging and software capabilities,Only if they can hold the title for securing clients privacy and data.

It will be a nightmare to hold.
I did try once that flat slippery bezel design. You will have hard time to even pick it up from the table and prey that your hands ate not slippery either, or you won't.
Reminds me also of super slippery Xperia ?? premium, visually great but it slides like car on icy road.

Use...those 3M removable adhesive tabs to stick cases in place...with the downside of having to get new tabs every time the case is removed of course.

The Xiaomi 13 might be a compelling choice of a new Android smartphone thanks to its combination of the latest and potentially greatest SoC from Qualcomm and an all-new, flat display. However, this putative dream of thin-bezel fans is reportedly proving much less of one for accessory-makers, who allegedly claim that its lack of chin or forehead make a hard fit for a screen protector, especially if the user also wants to use a case with it.
