I didn't see any hint of upcoming testing with the AMD model. Is this in the works or not on the cards at all?

I bought one with the AMD 6850U and Windows 11.  It was less than perfectly stable until the November firmware update from Lenovo (I'd wake up to a powered off machine at least weekly), now completely stable and it finally took the 2H22 update from Microsoft.  I don't game, bought this one loaded because I wanted to max the memory and storage (I get a company discount.)

No. We test it the way the manufacturer delivers it to us. If they deliver 12th Gen Core i systems with Windows 10, we are gonna review them with Windows 10 installed.

Formally, M$ updated the W10 core a long time ago and does not write anything about the fact that they are not the same in terms of the efficiency of using processors with Intel hybrid architecture.
Rather, M$ (maybe by a long-standing collusion with Intel) has constant problems with AMD here and there ...

I don't think installing W11 will change anything. Only bios processor firmware update in new releases.

You guys should NO longer test 12th gen Intel processors with Windows 10.  It does not support the different cores correctly and it can skew dramatically the results.  I suspect the really low single core speed test in R15 is due to using windows 10?  You should upgrade all to windows 11 even if it came with 10 from the factory.

Flaws:
1. Very poor performance in PL1 mode (which was not even brought to the header of review, like PL2). On par with an antique i5 8300H from 2018.
2. Despite the simply amazingly low speed in PL1 and PL2 mode, the noise is too loud under load.
3. Battery life at this low performance could be much longer, but the battery is too small. And the consumption of Intel processors is up to 25-30% more than that of Zen3+, which is proven by Lenovo even officially in psref for different models.
4. It is clearly seen that the i5 memory controller is configured poorly in bios - the speed of throughput is ram according to AIDA64 is extremely low, although the latency is relatively good for this generation Intel. Which is amazing...

I hereby claim 300-nit LCD should be deemed as a blatant crime in 2022, especially on a high-end ultrabook like this one.

cons: no sdcard reader,
but missing ethernet fails to be mentioned?
high strangeness times.

I just checked the t14 gen3 (6850u) the battery life and CPU/GPU performance are drastically better than this by about %30. these 12 gen laptop CPUs are useless. I'd give this laptop no more than 77 but that's if it were priced fairly. Which is not the case so its 65 from me :)

WT*. The review did not include the only CPUs that everyone wants to be compared with. The Ryzen 6650u and 6850U. I expect the new ryzen chips to do 2.5x better gaming FPS. and better 1.4x CPU performance. with same or slightly better battery life.
