Prices for 2TB models from the Chinese have already dropped to $100. Already now it is possible to sell 666(TLC>SLC)-500GB(QLC>SLC) disks instead of them completely in SLC mode. There's a simple reason to why all NAND products are extremely failing in profits today, and for the looOOoong foreseeable future, and these companies still refuse to acknowledge this SIMPLE understanding.

Majority of consumers WILL NEVER... EVER... look at storage, RAM, etc. as a premium product! EVER!!

Because purely technical competition on the planet is being eliminated for political reasons (albeit extremely important ones).
