Razer's phones in the past have been one of the purest Android devices I've ever used.  Hardly anything comes preinstalled and the Razer software itself is very minimal.  I've had the Phone 2 four years and it's still my daily driver.  I've only reset it once.  The only game that ran like trash was Diablo Immortal and by trash, it DC'd a lot.  Otherwise it looked great and ran great.  So I hope this is another great product, but I'll wait for the reviews because of "cloud gaming" tag.

This isn't a cloud gaming only device and can run games locally. The cloud gaming apps are bloatware to subsidize the cost because know they can't charge more than the Steam Deck

This is a phone with a built-in gamepad, not a deck competitor. No thanks.

If I understand this correctly, it's a cloud gaming tablet? If so, not the same thing as The Steam Deck.

It's your fault calling this android phone based toy a steam deck competitor, a which is nowhere near the reality and its also an insult to a device like steam deck where you can run a full on cyberpunk 2077 or far cry 6 at 60fps locally.

ARM toys aren't going to do well against the Steam Deck at the same price. Although I wouldn't be surprised to see the Steam Deck abandon the $400 price point for the next model.

As always, you can add a controller to your current or old smartphone to turn it into one of these.

It's not a "Steam Deck competitor" if it can't run games locally.

Razer has officially announced its first-ever handheld gaming console at Razercon 2022. The Razer Edge has some interesting specs, such as a high-refresh-rate AMOLED panel, a beefy Qualcomm chip and a 5,000 mAh battery. It goes on sale in January 2023 starting at US$399.
