I have already written many times that while they just announced a 20% drop in sales in the entire PC / laptop market (including Lenovo) in the 3rd quarter of 2022 and the alleged overstocking of warehouses - to find something new, on AMD processors outdated by a year is almost impossible in retail. Where is this abundance? He is not. And the fact that AMD allegedly pushed Intel to as much as 36% of the market is most likely also a lie of market analysts.

There are no laptops with Zen3+ U series, almost no laptops with H series. Intel also has obvious problems with the production of U and P series - as before, in large quantities, with the Tiger Lake series, they are simply not in retail. It is enough to google real opportunities to buy a 15.6+ laptop with U and P series and a normal full-fledged keyboard even from Lenovo, as the market leader - and it's empty there! Something with IPS 72% + is almost impossible to find in retail.

Well, the price of $1749 is too much even with a "discount", when a 3070Ti desktop card already costs $500-550 (which means that the mobile version, which is 35-40% slower, cannot cost more than $300-350!). We just add up the approximate retail prices of the components of any laptop and it doesn't come out like that for $1749. It should already cost $1300-1400 maximum, i.e. marketers are again trying to dilute naive buyers for a clearly already inadequate price.

Everyone is yelling about the price drop of SSDs, but I don't see any serious drop on really decent quality models. Yes, Chinese rubbish falls quickly, but what's the point if the speed outside the SLC cache is simply shameful and even lower than the write speed on the HDD!

The only real price drop is only for RAM and the most amazing thing is that arrogant and greedy laptop manufacturers are trying to sell suckers laptops with 8/16GB at a price of 32/64GB at the end of 2022, when even 16GB looks like a joke and completely insufficient for any serious activity.

What idiot today will buy a laptop with 1 bar for 8 or two with 16GB, if everyone needs 16x1 or 16x2 at once? They just force people to throw out those bars as soon as they buy them.
(as it used to be with funny ones on 4x1 or 2x4), if in the country there is no way to immediately take from 16x1 or 16x2 in the right configuration for another hardware, and most often this is exactly the case almost always with rare exceptions. And the sheer dominance of shameful 45-46% NTSC screens, which is simply awful. Here is this frankly garbage on the shelves - everywhere in bulk. But all of it must be under the bulldozer!

It is not surprising that in such a swindle of buyers for inadequate models, the market falls down with a swift jack. Everyone is waiting only for models on Zen3 + and Alder Lake, and now this is no longer interesting, on the eve of Zen4 / Raptor Lake, and even against the background of the fact that they promise a 2-fold drop in prices in the SSD market by mid-2023.

Well, against such a background, what is the point of buying equipment now, if tomorrow, despite hyperinflation in the West, it will still be cheaper? Better to wait for a better moment.

I was amused by customer reviews in some of our retail chains - they said after buying laptops how happy they were that they managed to snatch some, as they thought profitable models were so cheap. And they called the prices at which they bought it - and I looked at the current price in these retail chains - and it was already lower .... i.e. they all lost in terms of profitability of the purchase even a week after the purchase!

High-end gamers with US$1,749 to spare can now take advantage of a noteworthy deal for the well-equipped Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16, which not only features a quick RTX 3070 Ti, but also a gorgeous and bright display that usually can't be found in more affordable gaming laptops.
