After countless rumors, Apple may finally be ready to ditch the aging Lightning port on its mobile devices starting with the 2023 iPhone 15. Thanks in no small part to the latest legislation by the EU that requires device manufacturers to adopt USB-C as the standard form of charging, Apple could move its entire product stack with the Lightning port to USB-C by 2024.
