Just got my google pixel 2 months ago, and now it kept overheating and the phone stopped working. So disappointed with Google, such bad quality!

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention Google assistant. Download the app. Learn how to tweak assistant. Get the Pixel Tips App. Jeez gang. Google made things so easy by providing all of these cool tools and apps. Spend a little time getting to know your phone and it's settings. This is one of the most powerful phones i have ever used and the apps and tools are off the hook. Iphones are for zombies. Pixels and Android are people who want to take control of their gadgets, not the other way round. Is it quirky at times, a little yeh. But half the fun is figuring out the quirks and customizing the phone and software to do what YOU want it to, not what the phone wants you to do 😜😜😜😜

First you can try using the Adaptive Battery Saver Settings. It will allow you to set each apps battery consumption. There are also a number of other cool settings which will help you save battery. You can do this with the Buds Pro as well. This is an awesome phone with great features. You simply have to do the homework, read the online help on all of the various settings and features to tweak this bad boy to suit your usage. Once to know how to use the tools Google was smart enough too give you, you can have this phone humming like a race car. I'm using an 6 upgrade from the 3a. Again as many state, it's not the hardware, its the software. It takes a bit of fiddling around but anyone who can use an iphone or a MacBook or even a Pc can figure it out. Oh and BTW, it's a Google. So if you don't know how too get things to work......, Umm... Google it!

I once loved this phone. The Google Pixel 6 Plus used to be amazing. Had no issues with it while others were complaining. Battery life was great. No overheating very rarely made phone calls but when I needed to call somebody, it worked. That was all before the last two updates. Now my phone gets so hot. I don't even keep it in my pocket. I have to constantly restart my phone because it's searching for service. I can't make calls. Can't use the data. Sometimes a reboot works, sometimes it doesn't. What's the point of a phone if you can't make a call? Have a cell phone in case of an emergency, but it might not work. I have to charge my battery two times a day at least because it just drains. What was once loved is slowly going the way of the buffalo.

I can also confirm there was a noticeable difference in battery drainage after installing Android 13 on my Pixel 6. Battery was lasting two days, but now after one day...late evening time it's down below 30 percent sometimes. I turned off wireless (as I have a decent data plan), Bluetooth and Location Services and now it's back to where it should be...at the end of the first day, after standard usage the battery is 65-70%, so ok for now!

I have the September update... I still have battery drain and a little over heating. Fully charged 100% only good for 13hours 31 minutes. Charging twice a day. Other than that it's a great phone but I'm always keeping an eye one the battery percentage. Idk what to do. Maybe I'll upgrade to the 7pro.

No problem with pixel 6
Battery 36 hours, wireless charging is very good. And also no problems with heating. A little warm after wireless heating.
An excellent smartphone

I have been having the batter drain and overheating issues for several weeks now. My Pixel 6 Pro often hovers around 47°C and drains at 1-2% every few minutes. A reboot temporarily fixes the issue.... But if I use Android Auto within minutes the phone is too hot to use and I stead of charging, the battery continues to drop. I was good after a factory reset for about a week, but the issue resumes. I see the September update is avail and downloading as I type :-).  Fingers crossed.

The battery drain and overheating has gotten a lot worse for my Pixel 6a over the past few weeks. It was already bad before the Android 13 update, but now it's draining at roughly 1% every 5 minutes while idle. And the wireless charging is completely busted. It actually DRAINS the battery instead of charging it! I basically keep the phone plugged to a wall charger when not in use at this point. I got this phone for free from T-Mobile, and I still feel like I got ripped off.

I really don't know what everyone's complaining about with it. I have the Google 6 Pro. The fingerprint sensor works amazingly the phone's fast the battery life's good. I personally haven't had any of the problems anyone else is complaining about. I switched from an iPhone 13 Pro Max. Yes I know what people are going to say. Why would you well? I broke the screen on my iPhone and I thought I'd give the Google 6 Pro spin. I've never had a pixel before and but I definitely stay and have the next one. I love everything about this phone from its gorilla glass screen. That seems to be a scratch proof. It's splash proof and everything just works so quickly and smoothly. I've had no overheating issues. Yes, the battery could be better and last longer but it's no different to the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the camera on the pixel Pro 6 is amazing. Taking portraits are incredible. Four out of 5 stars from me. Www.singleseeds.co.uk

Google Pixel phones are known to be buggier than the average smartphone. Unfortunately, the release of Android 13 on Pixel phones also contributed to this problem. Google is now pushing out a software update for Pixel devices running the latest version of Android that promises to address a handful of issues including abnormal battery drain.
