I'm fairly certain that among the R1T's advantages are torque vectoring and a more sensitive suspension, though I agree that weight distribution and traction are probably the biggest factors.

It's all about weight and traction, not about power. And an electric vehicle is going to be very heavy. If you want proof, check out the super duty vs humvee.

The rather amusing experiment involving the two heavyweights in the electric pickup truck segment has a clear winner, who obviously benefited from grippy off-road tires that were well-suited for the slippery grass on which the tug of war took place.
