It got bad reviews because we live in a hairpin-trigger cancel-culture world now.  Yes, it CAN cost you a BUTTLOAD of money to max out your character, but that's completely optional. The main campaign of the game? Provided me of at least 30 hours of play-time and cost me 5$ for the basic battle-pass. The game has a not astounding, but still impressive amount of content. People just saw the dollar signs in the math and flipped out before even trying it...

The power of China developed game.  If this was a game owned by a Chinese company, the revenue would have been so much more!

Who says China doesn't have any softpower?  Genshin Impact is China soft power, Immortal is China soft power (indirectly)!

Market research firm Sensor Tower reports that Diablo Immortal has raked in over US$100 million in revenue just eight weeks after its launch. This figure accounts for both Android and iOS sales but leaves out third-party app repositories.
