How they did all this, which was understandable in light of the pandemic and worldwide pants-crapping that's occurred recently, but eschewed 5G capability? I don't care about specs but connectivity and futureproofing score fail the test until they make it relevant to the present.

I do want it. Egads is it svelte and Droid 4-ish in form factor.

The SD855 us a massive flop the 665? I don't know. Specs are not everything, you cannot get a slider phone with qwerty nowadays, and with sailfish, Ubuntu touch and other systems. You think you can do better? The supply of the 662 is bigger than the 835 and support in the community as well as but you guys are spec hungry! Would you buy a Poco f1 or a galaxy S20 to install and develop other systems?

Quote from: kek on July 27, 2022, 15:38:53This device became a huge scam overnight. They said they couldnt sourcr the SD835, which was fair enough, but why they didnt went for SD855 or SD865, and instead redesigned the whole thing for a measly SD662 is beyond me.

They did that to grab people's money and run away. Paying +600$ for SD662 is ridiculous.
Sadly the one fell for it mostly folks in xda community. Doubtful if anyone outside xda would be interested, or even know that this product exists. $300 would be the most reasonable, or even maximum price for this to be sold with sd662 along with its uniqueness.

The F(x)tec Pro1-X has started being delivered to backers, nearly two years after its launch in collaboration with XDA Developers. While one of the last smartphones with a slide-out keyboard, the F(x)tec Pro1-X has received a massive hardware downgrade compared to those that were offered during its Indiegogo campaign.
