Learn something about your subject before publication of garbage.

Over half of BYD's "vehicles" are not BEV they are crap hybrids.

Fact check before you publish garbage. Almost half of BYD vehicles sold were hybrid not BEV's.

And another news source falls for sensational headlines without checking actual facts. Break down those sales numbers from BYD and you'll notice a massive chunk, about 50%, is hybrids. Tesla is still the largest all electric manufacturer, and it's  not even close.

BYD is now the world's biggest electric vehicle manufacturer after landing more sales than Tesla in the first six months of 2022. The Chinese EV brand saw around 77,000 more purchases and a 300% increase year on year. BYD has also overtaken LG energy to become the second-biggest EV battery producer. The BYD Tang is the first EV from the company to reach Europe.
