EV's are ancient techs from the 1800's.  I'd seen someone describe them as 4-wheels on Chinese batteries.  The battery is the thing that matters the most.  Electric motors were invented in the 1800's not the combustion engine, THAT is more advanced than electric motors.

As such, the company leading the EV race is BYD with the blade battery that is almost impossible to catch on fire.  BYD is also backed by Warren Buffett.  It's Tesla that has to kiss BYD's butt, beg for some extra batteries when and if they're available.  CEO of XPeng is just an idiot nobody.

'Few seem to realize that China is leading the world in renewable energy generation and electric vehicles. Whatever you may think of China, this is simply a fact,' quipped Tesla's CEO Elon Musk on its company's Weibo account. The CEO of XPeng, though, a main Tesla rival locally, says the industry is still in its infancy in China.
