The article has many flaws, the difference between the S22 and the S22 ultra are big, now compare them to the other variations (yet to be announced by Sony) the Xperia 1 IV , the Xperia 5 IV and I the Xperia 10 IV will all vary in price and ability just like the difference in the S22 range or the ranges of the IPhones. If you're going to compare prices at least make the comparable.

The fact that this is the only phone right now that does 4K120 recording, while being on par or better than the iPhone in many other ways. They can charge whatever they want. I would have wished a direct discount promo. Instead of forcing upon me more of their headphones. If anyone was mad enough to upgrade every year they'd need a dedicated drawer to sony audio "freebies"

Why are you comparing the 4th generation phone to the 1st?

Why are you comparing the iPhone 13 and not the 13 Pro Max?

Why are you comparing the S22 Ultra $1199 when it only has 8gb RAM and 128gb?

Pretty weak sauce, notebookcheck.

Couldn't agree more. The USA customers enjoy an even better deal as they will get 512GB internal storage compared to 256GB for EU customers.

It is silly expensive. But as far as I know, the launch model in the US has 512 GB storage. That's why it costs as much as it does. In Europe, we have a 256 GB version which is slightly cheaper than iPhone Pro Max with 256 GB storage IIRC.

Sony's Xperia 1 IV smartphone has a price tag of US$1,599.99, which is a loyalty-testing +68.5% increase over the original US launch price of the Mark 1 model. In stark contrast, both Samsung and Apple have been more cautious with price hiking for their flagship devices, with the standard Galaxy S models actually becoming cheaper over the same time period.
