Is there any chance that Notebookcheck can review the AMD option for this laptop? Can't seem to find any reviews online and considering buying the Ryzen 7 6800H IPS display option of it.

RAM soldered is not good but if the 16 GB RAM are dual channel, that's only half as bad. How does the iGPU in the 16X perform in 8GB vs 16GB? 32GB RAM maximal would have been nice, this is not 2016, but 2022.

i want one of these with ryzen 7000. ryzen 6000 isn't enough of an improvement over ryzen 5000, at least in the CPU department.

The reason why AMD notebooks do not have Thunderbolt 4 is the manufacturer's greed of not paying license fees. As to not even USB 4, it is the greater greed of not investing development effort. Boycott devices (if not manufacturers) missing it!

Interesting - is there any reason why these AMD variants dont get USB4? Theoretically, if TB3 is supported on intel, USB4 should be supported on AMD, especially with the 6000 series offering it natively

Asus introduced the Vivobook S 16X in both Intel Alder Lake-H up to the Core i7-12700H and AMD Rembrandt-H options up to the Ryzen 7 6800H and Ryzen 9 6900HX. The Vivobook S 16X claims to be the world's slimmest 16-inch 4K laptop with a PANTONE-validated OLED NanoEdge display that is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500-certified.
