Is it possible to enable a silent/ quiet setting on this laptop?
HP has its Command Center software for Omen desktop PCs and laptops that offers a "Comfort" mode, a "Default" mode and a "Performance" mode at the Performance control section.

What modes does this model offer? It's great to know whether the "Comfort" mode is an option, as this should help to deal with the fan noise to a certain extent.

Thanks!

How can this be one of the best examples when 16" laptops typically have 8:5 displays and replace older 16:9 machines while HP is the exception that sticks with it. It really is as if they went to 16 only because everybody is doing it but without buying into the aspect ratio change. And for me, personally, it is the aspect ratio that makes the new 16 inchers interesting. Not the somewhat larger diagonal.

After years of 15- and 17-inch displays dominating the gaming scene, more and more 16-inch devices are entering the market. One of the best examples of this is the new version of the HP Omen 16 with an Alder Lake CPU and an Ampere GPU.
