baseball cards have been out for a hundred years, vinyl record collections likely longer. They have immense value and rarity.
These things only have value for a bunch of passionate collectors. For most people, they are worth nothing.

Quote from: Lolzors on February 26, 2022, 01:15:31Can you copy and paste the music from the first Elvis record and listen? Yes. Is it worth anything or original source? No because you stole it and dont own the collectible.
You do realize many if not most people don't give a rat's a** about owning things and showing them off, only about using them? If it sounds the same, who cares.

Your precious NFTs, baseball cards and rare vinyls are only worth anything because there is a bunch of other retards with more money than brains obsessing over them. Instead of doing something glorious, or at least good, collectors give in to harmful obsession, and waste time, effort & money on things which serve no function, often released as a quick money grab - both NFTs and baseball cards are exactly that. It's the epitome of mindless consumerism, and should be shunned upon, not endorsed.

the comments here show how the vast majority of humans are braindead fucktards and maybe actual apes. baseball cards have been out for a hundred years, vinyl record collections likely longer. They have immense value and rarity. I'm not defending nft's but to call them jpegs you can copy and paste is fucking stupid. Can you copy and paste the music from the first Elvis record and listen? Yes. Is it worth anything or original source? No because you stole it and dont own the collectible.

Ethereum is the source, Bored Ape is the collectable. Crypto is here to stay and the NFT's are simply coded picture collectibles tied directly to the crypto currency and blockchain. Its so fucking easy to understand do you just ignore truths and post jimmy kimmel esque responses like "copy paste jpeg lol""

this was a mega felony theft and while its rich fartheads effected, we've often seen thats not the case. In this issue we have actual theft, not a company or "artist" scamming, just pure theft.

How much do you think a JPG from the 90's of a first gen Pokemon card is worth today? Because that's what you're arguing for. There's fundamentally no difference between your JPG and another person's. If you can't distinguish that from tangible, physically impossible to reproduce items, then I'm sorry.

But it seems to me the only people in support of NFTs are those trying to make a quick buck or coping with a bad investment.

I'm seeing nothing but jackass comments on here from bunch of fn idiots mainly all of them in general and especially the dummy who thinks 99 East is worth 30 bucks what an idiot go back to counting class the whole thing is an inside job though that's what I think the poor guy got squiggled feel bad for him it's a lot of money man also the guy who bought it for 99 Eth probably the same dude who hacked it cuz 99 Eth for that board ape is a joke you know what I mean I don't got any apes I got all splinterlands and a few other things that ain't worth s*i*

My favorite NFT is my "I Own AMC NFT" anyways. It's about principle. I like your post brother you understand enough to be able to bash it unlike the others who are posting thetoric from their favorite youtuber and late night talk show hosts. It's more the collectible aspect, much better than aspect of nfts being actual currency. pokemon gen 1 was worthless, now gen 1 is worth hundreds of thousands. Same with NFTs in the future

I'm sorry, but I must be misunderstanding something here. How can something that there's supposedly only one of (hence the non-fungible part of NFT) be rarer than something else that there's supposedly only one of? They'd be the same rarity. Also, props to the hacker for selling the jpeg for $30. Showing just how worthless these stupid things are.

There was nothing rare about a hyperlink attached as meta data to a block chain.

Its because owner fell for a phishing email scam and essential gave up the signature key which allowed the hacker to steal NFT via opeasea exchange OJ so its technically the owners fault imo. Dont ever click on links in email. Noob mistake 101

Clearly if your NFTs can get stolen by a hack on OpenStore, then your tokens were never really decentralized anyway. Just attaches more idiocy to the cryptocurrency tech movement.

One Timothy McKimmy has filed a lawsuit against the OpenSea NFT exchange platform claiming that they had their pricey Bored Ape Yacht Club series NFT stolen without any repercussions. The Bored Ape #3475 NFT, they argue, is rarer than Justin Bieber's US$1.3 million Bored Ape, while demanding compensation.
