Who does really believe this rating? Dxomark is ALWAYS putting Samsung scores much lower than they deserve.

The only phone in the market with two zoom telephoto lens, x3 and x10 optical and according to themselves is far from the top in zoom when you can see literally every single comparison (or compare them by yourself) to see that the S21 Ultra's smashes anyone on zoom. Not even saying S22 Ultra which is even better. FFS they gave the S22 Ultra a lower zoom score than the S20 Ultra which had 2.5x times less zoom!

They didn't use in any moment the auto night mode and neither the full-res 108 mpx camera. Why Dxomark?

And they always test Samsung phones with pre-release software while for chinese phones they wait 2-3 months after they get on the market to get their ratings. Are you for real?

Dxomark cant be more biased. It's a joke of a website! They also censor every single comment that doubts on their methods, it's shameful.

Unethical to report on DxOMark's findings and the central topic, but to not link over to them.

Also, the reason the S22 Ultra (that I've ordered and am getting on Tuesday) didn't make DxOMark's top ten is that they aren't lobbied by Samsung's campaign to bribe "influencers" and YouTubers who are biased in favor of Samsung.

Hello there. Author here.

The DxOMark page is very much linked in the Sources section.

This is samsung own fault, like when they released S21u with unfinished software. The camera keep getting better after multiple updates. Samsung should polish their software before rushing their sale.

It definitely beats it in photo quality as seen in the numerous reviews. While it takes stellar video as well, the iPhone does take the lead here due to it having less noise and better ois at night. We'll see how Samsung fares in a few months once the optimizations and updates release.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra and its array of incredible camera hardware is widely considered as being able to match the iPhone 13 Pro Max in most shooting conditions. DxOMark disagrees, though, and its review of the Exynos Galaxy S22 Ultra sees it scored well below the Apple flagship, and outside of the top ten.
