I've been waiting to replace my Mi 9 SE and was considering Galaxy S22, but if this rumour is true I won't jump ship after all, as I am quite happy with all Xiaomi phones I've had so far

My mother is first in line to buy it for a reasonable price (if it will be similar or lower to LITE edition). iPhone 13 mini is way to expensive. I hope that Xiaomi will launch it soon. Market in this segment has quite big pottential. Because there are a lot of people who have their smartphones mostly for calls, some chatting and occasionally for web browsing.

Same thing here. I stille have the XZ1 Compact because most of the Android smartphones are too big. I am 1,93m, almost 100kg but I have hands like a three year old.

reason i didnt get it because i still had my sony xz1 compact which is a true compact funny it is almost the same size as the iphone12/13 mini

The Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12X are already relatively small by modern smartphones, but the Xiaomi 12 Mini could be an even more compact option. The Mini entry in the Xiaomi 12 series could still feature three rear-facing cameras though, if a leaked render is anything to go by.
