I started playing older games. Many of which are from the 90s to 2000s. They are a blast. Less shiny graphics but most had good stories or strategies. There are so many of them and they are so easily findable that I can play them for years to come, if not a decade. If you are stuck with no good GPU, try some oldies. Try Fallout, Fallout 2, DeusEx, HalfLife, HalfLife2, Quake 1/2/3, Unreal Tournament 99, Grim Fandango, Age of Empires, Duke Nukem, Arcanum, MechWarrior / MechCommander series, System Shock 1/2 and so on.

Got myself a legion laptop with 3080 and works like a desktop 3070-ish but with 16 gb of ram. I can play majority of games at ultra/4k/60fps (tv) and worst case i turn dlss quality on (gow just released) or auto dlss(cyberpunk). It's expensive...2500 euro, but i get mobility, power, a good screen. 3070 is around 900 euro here or more. I really don't see the point in having a desktop today with these prices. Also paying so much money but having only 8gb of vram in 2022 is just a no-go.

Never thought I'd live in a world where AMD APUs are a viable choice for gamers compared to getting a lower-tier CPU and dGPU. This is simply because of price and availability.
Even bottom-tier dGPUs like the 1030 are going for upwards of US$200, while old GPUs like the RX580 are over $500. Crazy.

¥50,138 for a 3050 isn't that crazy at all.
The MSRP for the 3050 founders edition is ¥39,800.
So you're only looking at around ¥10,000 over the founder edition which is completely normal for cards from third-party manufacturers.

The pricing for anything PC related is usually a lot higher than US pricing, PCs are an expensive hobby here.
Here's the MSRP other 3000 series founders edition cards for example (all before taxes):
3060 is ¥49,980
3070 is ¥80,000
3080 is ¥109,800
3090 is ¥229,800

Shocking prices have turned up for AIB partner variants of both the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti and the GeForce RTX 3050. The top-end RTX 3090 Ti was spotted via a Swiss comparison site listed at prices equivalent to US$3,500 and upwards. The entry-level RTX 3050 turned up in an Amazon Japan listing for well over its United States MSRP of US$249.
