I agree. Trouncing AMD and beating Apple is not a big deal for Intel. They have to trounce Apple and obliterate AMD.

Tbh, while nice i was expecting more from it maybe because its an early sample. I mean, those 6+8 cores are matching Apples 8+2 on the 10 core M1pro while probably using way more extra wattage

Geekbench has revealed several Intel Core i5-12500H specs, including four Golden Cove cores, eight Gracemont cores, and a 3.8GHz base clock speed. Its single and multi-core scores on Geekbench are 1,602 and 8,367, respectively, which are noticeably ahead of the AMD Ryzen 5 5600H.
