Their statement doesn't make any sense, as the people who would be working on hardware and firmware--would not be working on a game. Companies generally ruin games to make the run on consoles, anyway.

Sources have told YouTuber Tyler McVicker that Valve isn't too keen on developing Half-Life 3. Only a handful of people are said to be working on the project, with most of the workforce focusing on the Steam Deck.
