The new Huawei Matebook e keyboard is an irrational design. They made the ' [ ' and ' ] ' keys narrow and the ' \ ' key wide. Other brands would choose normal size ' [ ' and ' ] ' keys and a slightly narrower ' \ ' key.

Huawei has teased a new version of its MateBook E with strong overtones of the device being a Surface 8 Pro competitor on its launch. This may have been further underpinned by the reported release of a new app specifically for its new detachable keyboard dock onto the Chinese version of the Microsoft Store.
