I'm not sure if Ryzen 6000 will beat Alder Lake on CPU power. On the GPU side, RDNA2 should bring some improvements over the aging Vega Gragics

People who need to stick with Windows but want performance/watt or performance/dollar are still getting AMD so Intel doesn't need to compete with apple right now.

yeah but thats on desktops. AMD laptops take like 3 months to ship since the moment you put an order, so no thanks.

and if you dont believe me, go check Lenovo USA, HP USA AMD options and you will see what I'm talking about.

Obviously, not everyone feels the same, but unless I absolutely needed a new laptop right away, I'd much rather wait a few months to get an AMD laptop, especially once the 6000 series is out, since granted, right now, Intel has the edge in GPU with TGL.

They grow complacent, doing incremental upgrades with numerous security flaws for years, then act surprised when Apple grows tired of it and does their own thing, try and fail miserably to do an antagonistic ad campaign against Apple because they're upset at Apple when it's their own fault, and now finally admit that Apple's done "a pretty good job" (so still doesn't even sound sincere) and act like they have a chance after falling so far behind of getting Apple back. Yeah, good luck. Even if there were to somehow miraculously make a huge improvement in their processors to actually outperform Apple, both in raw performance and efficiency, Apple still wouldn't likely switch back. They prefer to have control over their components, not to mention they wouldn't want to risk switching back only to have Intel become complacent again. They're leaving Intel in their rearview and Intel just can't accept that.

Why do you care about people waiting? They would prefer waiting than getting robbed by Intel's monopoly again.

Maybe he's one of the people waiting?
Why do you care about Intel's supposed monopoly , which is a BS statement by itself.

Intel has switched approaches with Apple, having run an aggressively anti-Apple campaign earlier this year. Now, CEO Pat Gelsinger has been speaking the Apple M1's praises. However, he still wants to tempt Apple back with better processors than it could manufacture itself.
