It is a pity, that now I can not express - I hurry up on job. I will return - I will necessarily express the opinion on this question.

I'm very disappointed in the Samsung z3 flip phone as well I'm now on my second one due to screen going bad at the crease for no reason I keep a Samsung protective case on my phone at all times and absolutely no damage on my end. Trying to help regarding issues with the defects in the phone is nearly impossible and Samsung avoids resolving issues for the poor workmanship in their product . If anyone decides to file a class action suit regarding the Z3 poor phone quality count me in .

I never had a Z Flip and it's already broken. Wish I never wished for this phone.

Quote from: Joseph W Perkins on October 10, 2021, 21:56:47I was watching the Jerry rig everything page on Facebook when he did a durability test with this phone. He bent the phone backwards and had a slight curve but the display never broke. Also, this phone isn't made with glass on the display. Not sure why they keep saying the glass display? The only part of the phone that's glass is the backside.

It won't let me post a link but, go to Jerry rig everything and look at his videos. This one is one of the most recent ones. 2:40-3:30 is the screen test that show its actually plastic.

The Z flip uses Gorilla Glass Victus.  Which, is far as I can tell, is not plastic.

I do love my Z Flip but there are so many problems with this model and the fold model. Screen not durable like they claim so I doubt the claim for waterproof is correct either.  My first Z Flip just stopped working out of nowhere.  This was after less than 4 weeks of having the phone. I did a warranty exchange and this phone has lasted only 2 or 3 months. So now I am on my 3rd phone in less than 6 months.  The fold was recalled and the flip should be recalled as well.  If this one dies in a short time I will be looking to file suit against Samsung. While I like the features the shoddy construction and design are not worth the hassle.

Quote from: angela on April 19, 2022, 19:22:59Bought mine Nov 25, opened it up to a thick black line in the crease as well as the top being unresponsive to touch. This is my first Samsung since the s5. I'm sending it for repair, totally expecting the bs charges. What a waste of money.

Did you get it repaired?

Mine gets very minimal use, found fold & some random other lines of different sizes- looks like a graphite pencil rubbing over the middle - unsure if the screen or just protector. Tried screen shot & all OK in that & phone functions OK & no issues on screen use. Odd flicker when I've used it for a long email & attachments.
Had it in a Samsung case since day 1 aswell & never been dropped, unless you count from my hand to bed when I've been lay down.
Rarely outside & not been near water & I clean the edges & case to be sure but I am out of the house maybe once a week & mainly use my tablet with cell/WiFi anyway.

Don't have a Samsung store near me so sending it back makes me worry given it goes via sea & even extra well protection wrap doesn't stop the parcel moving about if bad weather & not sure if motion would cause any added risk.

If I remove protector ; get a new 1 but it turns out to be the screen will Samsung void everything if I've removed their protector.
I've never had 1 fault, scratch, crack nothing on any of my Samsungs which this was the 1st time I went off the S range, which I've had since S2 & only jumped from s6 edge to S8. Never had screen burn & when selling on when I've upgraded the people have usually said its a really good price as looks like new & I don't recall last time I've ever used anything from box except phone.

So disheartened, looking at S22 Ultra but worried about any reduced quality in new phones given the life span isn't the same.

My phone screen just cracked after 4 months of use, I sent it to Samsung repair and just a few minutes ago I received an email telling me they are not responsible for the repair and want to charge me $245.00 plus tax. Total BS

Only options I have is to spend 300 dollars  opening a new line send my phone off for 2 weeks with no loaner or hit my credit again smh. Take this phone off the market terrible design

I've always had Samsung phones, The last couple of phones I don't even put a protective cover on because I always keep my phone in my right front pocket all by itself. No keys or anything to scratch it.

Samsung rep told me that the phone had a 1 year warranty on the screen and that they had solved the issues with the screen.

Complete BS. One day I took the phone out of my pocket. Flipped it open it came on, flashed and then the top half went black.

Samsung says they won't fix it because it was damaged. The problem is I know it wasn't. It was never dropped, has never been wet. it is 4 months old. There isn't a scratch on it.

Don't buy it.

Terrible phone,  2 screens down now and not even a year old. Don't buy this phone. No warranty with screen. Paid $220 for first screen to be fixed, and now they want approximately $700 to fix 2nd time.
No, it's going in the bin. It had screen protection on screen and a back cover, still did not help. Disgusting

I love my phone - the size is what I needed. The glass is ok, but compared with other Samsung models, which I have been using for 20 years, this model is very sensitive and fragile. With the same usage patterns my other phones would last 5-6 years, while the top portion on this one stopped responding after 5 months of usage. There is no any damage on it, so I do not even know what the issue was. Repair will cost over 360 USD. To me - design innovation is not worth the money, if the quality is not there.

I had my zflip 3 5g for two months. I closed my screen this morning and it broke for no reason. Opened it and the screen snapped and went black. Samsung will not allow you to do a factory warranty on ANY flip or fold in store (per Samsung this morning) you have to go through a mail in process to have your phone assessed for any possible warranty replacements that would be mailed to you. Att explicitly does not allow warranty claims specifically on just the z flip and fold... my take on it is just buy an iPhone. Paid the 1k to clear my bill and went right back to one

Happened to me as well when it was rainy an a bit of water got into the fold. IPX7 is BS apparently. Sucks that I have to pay a buttload of money because Samsung made a faulty product, wish I'd gone with the s21...
