Well said, "in an attempt to look". The best way for them to be environmentally friendly is to build reliable products, especially laptops. That way the user will use it much longer, retire it much later, thus reduce e-waste.

But they probably follow the Singapore guidelines in making business look more "green" and environmental friendly. It's all about perception and looks.
