Seems ok I guess for brand new latest, but for that price you can get a 1060 gaming laptop used some with a hexacore cpu seems a no brainer for value. The largest problem with Gateway is the company is really a ghost, no one supports warranty in reality, so you have the walmart warranty only which for laptops can vary from 15 days to 30 days depending on who you talk to at the actual store. Website says 30 days for laptops, but I've returned a laptop when bought after nov 15 with the extended holiday returns over 50 days after first purchase, buy laptops etc in that window for max return period.

On paper, everything about the Gateway is lucrative from its affordable price point, Tiger Lake Core i5 CPU, 16 GB RAM, 1080p IPS display, and 512 GB SSD. Dig a little deeper, however, and some of the drawbacks cut a bit too deep.
