This is definitely a slippery slope that will be used for far worse abuses and is a perfect example of how Apple is NOT the kind, gentle, privacy focused company that it pretends to be but is in fact the same abusive company it always was -- that uses slave labor in Xingjiang and whose underpaid Chinese workers jump off of buildings to end it all.

Really sucks to see them invading user privacy. I don't care what the reason is. Might as well search people's houses under the pretext of "only looking for illegal material." I'm switching to Android.

Well, it's nice to see Apple finally showing their true colors on privacy. Remember, Apple doesn't care a bit about protecting consumers. They care about money, like everyone else, but their hypocritical BS makes them stand out.

If you want real privacy, you have to build it yourself. If you don't care that much, then stop pretending that it's a good reason to use Apple products.
