Lol, Ricci. You've already told us about your opinion with this snarky smear piece. If the P50 were a person this would be called a not so subtle  character aassassination. But it's not an opinion piece, huh?  ::) ???
You're funny.. :p

Haha. For what it's worth, I'm sure the P50 Pro is an excellent camera phone.  ;)

QuoteWhile owners of the P50 Pro may be able to get similar camera performance from their phones eventually, there's no guarantee

What are you saying? Of course it's guaranteed that customers will receive the update, Huawei already established trust with customers offering long term camera support. And contrary to others like Samsung (and Xiaomi also) that launch a new S or Note with subpar camera software and need to fix things in the months after launch but also sometimes regressing in quality because they can't make their minds what type of processing they want, Huawei focus on bugs and fine tuning their IQ. When things improve they don't regress.

There's no reason to not trust Huawei here, and if other phones are tested by DxO with non final software it's their fault. Sometimes DxO publishes a preview saying they're waiting for final software to review so the brands have the option to ask DxO to wait if needed.

Huawei flagships have a habit of finding themselves at the top of DxOMark's camera rankings at launch, and the new Huawei P50 Pro is no different. The Snapdragon 888-powered phone has now made the trip over to DxOMark, and slightly edged out the Mi 11 Ultra to clinch top spot—for whatever that's worth in the real world.
