Mediatek shouldn't overhype their product if they can't do it.

Lol, I was going to respond to the ridiculous first comment, but given the last paragraph and the username, I'll just assume it's satire. Good one, buddy.

I know what's going to happen. Since Mediatek is a non us brand. Definitely something( Privacy issue, security issues, etc.) is going to happen(e.g. no support from Google). And the processor is going to stay below SD SOP and A chip. And these processor will make 3,2,1,nm processor. It is never a competition.

sd 865, 865+ and sd870 are the same product in terms of cpu/gpu tech.
mediatek loses points because of unoptimized driver stack, but other than that they have quite good hardware.
