I bought a Mac Mini as a decent web device, I don't see how anyone can do much with it beyond that without spending money on a dock or something that adds ports and a card reader. If I knew I couldn't get by with the ports on the Mac Mini I wouldn't have bought it. I won't spend $700 on a Mac and then another $100 on a dock to make it usable. I wouldn't bought something else with that $100. Maybe a PC with more ports and a card reader. Yeah ok the M1 is fast, but Mac's are becoming port-less really fast.

Satechi has updated its multi-purpose Mac mini USB-C hub. In addition to re-releasing it in the classic Apple silver color to match the new M1 Mac mini, the hub now also includes a built-in SSD enclosure.
