Well multiple sites have shown this including Anandtech and TechSpot - that Intel catches up in performance at peak power consumption but overall the Tiger Lake H45 processors need more power to deliver the same performance as their AMD counterparts.

And Intel laptops remain expensive than AMD for equal performing parts by at least $250-$300.

Tiger Lake H is indeed a good alternative to AMD if you only look at performance in silo. These are the issues I see with Intel's offering,
1. Price - At comparable performance to the Ryzen 5000 series, Intel is unlikely to match in price. The board itself to support the higher power draw will cost more, even though they may offer things like TB connectivity
2. Much higher power consumption - Its obvious that Intel is designing 10nm just like their 14nm, ie, built for speed but at the expense of power draw. Like for like in terms of battery, I believe AMD systems may last longer,
3. With point 2, Tiger Lake H laptops may be harder to cool. So performance difference between systems is likely going to differ quite a bit depending on the cooling solution.
Overall, I objectively I would say that Tiger Lake H is certainly a good product and a good competitor of AMD Ryzen 5000H series.

If you want to see some reviews that are not Intel advertisement, watch these from Jarrod's tech.

The things to note here are:

1. Ryzen 5000 consumes close to half the power for the same performance.

2. Some laptops have botched memory timings which affects performance on Ryzen 5000.

3. Intel 11th gen vs 10th improvements come with higher power consumption.  Honestly, no real efficiency gains.

Some of this AMD fan bois are curse to PC industry, They dont wanna understand that Intel is still king of gaming and this 11800H processor just put the right kind of impressions that intel lost in 2020 and they will carry-on to fight back with their upcoming Alder-Lake processor's.

Both may be true, different efficiency curves because TSMC's 5nm does not scale well with voltage.
And we've seen AMD performing notably lower than expected in games for no apparent reason as well, even bogging down on the graphics, as the flagship Zephyrus Duo model showed, compared to the Blade 15 running on Intel but with the same graphics at the same power(or was it slightly lower actually?).

Come on, you can't be serious in not mentioning the measured power draw of the Intel and AMD CPUs....written this way this is too much of an ad for Intel.

What about temperatures? Dave2d reviewed asus rog m16 and it was audibly twice as loud as AMD based laptops with the same performance. I still would prefer AMD over intel even without Thunderbolt 4 and power hungry PCIe 4 in laptop.

The blue chipmaker has successfully closed the gaping performance gap between its Core-H CPUs and AMD's competing Zen series with the launch of 11th gen Tiger Lake-H. Auxiliary features like native support for Thunderbolt 4 and PCIe 4 are icing on the cake in favor of Intel.
